MANAGER, FINANCE

Job Scope:

  • Handling financial and management reports (including group consolidation report) Handling budget, financial analysis, tax and credit management
  • Any other ad-hoc as assigned by supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum for degree in Accounting/ACCA
  • Min 3-5 years’ experience on accounting and tax
  • Proficient in MS office particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with accounting software

 

 

MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • The Group would like to employ a Manager, Business Development to complement its existing business development capabilities

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the component sales activities for the component sales team.
  • Manage existing aganecy product and adding new product agency to leverage on and increase sales to existing and new market or customers.
  • To make project proposal for component and systems sales for Portek turn-key engineering services.
  • To monitor quotations/proposals and keep management updated on status.
  • Direct responsibilityfor the component sales department.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Project analysis and evaluation in areas including, but not limited to, container and bulk terminal operations, management and development.
  • Project management.
  • Contract/negotiations.
  • General marketing activities on behalf of the Portek Group.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering (mechanical or electrical/electronics)
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a technical or project environment and 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing management in equipment or heavy engineering sector
  • Good knowledge of the region’s port and shipping or marine industry is an advantage
  • Multi-disciplinary knowledge in mechanical, structural and electrical engineering, coupled with good commercial knowledge and exposure
  • Accurate costing methodology to estimate costs for quotations and project purposes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to draft technically and commercially sound proposals
  • High level of proficiency in English, working level proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa
  • Overseas traveling of about 30% of time can be expected

 

 

MANAGER, INTERNAL AUDIT

  • We are looking for a hands-on person to conduct field audit and develop operational audit programs to standardise and strengthen internal controls of all our various operations globally. The person will be required to understand and suggest improvements to the process and procedures to enhance management controls to manage risks as well as improve efficiency and productivity of the operations.

    This is a specialist position and we are looking for someone who takes a long term career perspective in internal auditing. The incumbent must have a flair in conducting such investigations and or reviews, provide relevant recommendations and or changes to enhance and or to improve the internal controls.

    The person must be able to work independently and with different nationalities and race which require you to be racially sensitive.

Role requirement

  • Traveling to developing countries is required. Experience in preparation and write up of audit working papers and reports is required to succeed in this role. You are required to have good report writing skills, clarity of issues, able to spot internal control weaknesses and risks, experience in audit procedures and able to prepare an audit program to meet define objectives for each audit assignment. The incumbent shall report to the Head of Internal Audit Division.

 

Language requirement

  • The person must have a good command in English, both spoken and written. Preference will be given to the person with ability to speak and write at least 1 of the following languages; Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Tagalog, Mandarin, Russian or French as we use these common languages.

 

Qualification

  • We require a candidate with a tertiary degree or a professional qualification with any society of accountants or society of internal auditors, recognized in Singapore.

 

 

SALES ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing agencies’ products and adding new product agency to leverage on and increase sales to existing and new market or customers.
  • To make project proposal for component and systems sales for Portek turn-key engineering services.

  • Direct responsibility for the territory & agency product assigned.
  • Project analysis and evaluation in areas including, but not limited to, container and bulk terminal operations, management and development.
  • General sales activities on behalf of the Portek Group.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering (electrical/electronics).
  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a technical or project environment and 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing management in equipment or heavy engineering sector.
  • Good knowledge of the region’s port and shipping or marine industry is an advantage.
  • Multi-disciplinary knowledge in mechanical, structural and electrical engineering, coupled with good commercial knowledge and exposure.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to draft technically and commercially sound proposals.
