The Portek Group is a turnkey provider of equipment, services and solutions for the global port industry, as well as an operator of container and bulk terminals.


We are currently looking for:





  • Manage the implementation of multiple local & overseas projects relating to, but not limited to, IT General Controls & Compliance
  • Work closely with the different divisions and overseas subsidiaries on the implementation and enforcement of IT compliance requirements
  • Track and review the completion of the IT audit issues
  • Support affiliates to implement IT policies, guidelines, process flowcharts and procedures in accordance to J-SOX IT General Control frameworks, COSO and other audit requirements
  • Manage project resources and maintain strong relationship with project stakeholders
  • Identify, justify and control IT risk
  • Undertake IT risk assessment and review IT projects that have major impact to businesses to ensure compliance
  • Assist in the planning, testing, delivery, and support of key IT project and Information Security initiatives
  • Assist in planning and conducting IT security/controls awareness trainings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Group IT and superior



  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the areas of IT risk management, IT audit or IT security
  • Certification in PMP, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of policy formulation, administration and governance structures
  • Project Management (planning and execution of multiple projects with practical analysis and allocation of human resources)
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and commitment achieve goals
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to lead team and relate to staff of all levels
  • Ability to systematically evaluate options and recommend solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently




  • The Group would like to employ a Manager, Business Development to complement its existing business development capabilities


  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical/electronics)
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a technical or project environment and 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing management in equipment or heavy engineering sector
  • Good knowledge of the region’s port and shipping or marine industry is an advantage
  • Multi-disciplinary knowledge in mechanical, structural and electrical engineering, coupled with good commercial knowledge and exposure
  • Accurate costing methodology to estimate costs for quotations and project purposes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to draft technically and commercially sound proposals
  • High level of proficiency in English, working level proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa
  • Overseas traveling of about 30% of time can be expected




  • Your main task is to provide maintenance support and enhancements to existing enterprise
    applications and involved in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of new applications.


  • Understand the technical & business knowledge of the existing applications
  • Refactor the code and write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests
  • Improve code/database performance and fix bugs
  • Develop new modules/components
  • Write automation scripts for data setup & application deployment


  • Strong software development skills
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent, can consider non-CS degree with proven software development skills
  • Hands on experience in Spring frameworks, J2EE(JSP, Servlet, EJB, JMS), Swing, iBatis, Struts, ActiveMQ, Jasper, Maven, Jenkins, Git
  • Hands on experience in writing unit/integration tests and code refactoring
  • Deep architectural understanding of 3-tiers (N-tiers) enterprise web applications and enterprise integration
  • Proven to work effectively with legacy code
  • In-depth knowledge of application servers (Weblogic and Tomcat), Oracle database server
  • Ability to work independently & learn fast with minimum supervisions
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal, analytic, and communication skills





  • Responsible for developing of container crane automation systems
  • Perform software design, user interface design, coding, testing, site installation, troubleshooting, documentation and commissioning
  • Communicate with sensors, programmable logic control (PLC) and computers



  • Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science
  • Good experience in Visual C++/C# and SQL
  • Familiar with TCP/IP, industrial protocols ( Profibus, Modbus, etc)
  • Experience in developing of window based applications
  • Possess good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willing to travel





  • Responsible for project tracking and business studies
  • Overseeing the implementation of the project, you will track and control all project phases and activities as well as testing and documentation before implementation
  • Required to ensure quality of service delivery to the customers as well as managing service relationship with the customers


  • Degree or technical equivalent
  • Experience in project management and Financial Applications is an added advantage
  • Understanding of Spring frameworks, J2EE Applications, Swing, iBatis, Struts, Jasper, GIT, Grails, Javascript is a plus
  • Knowledge of application servers (Weblogic / Tomcat) and database servers (Oracle / MySQL)
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal, analytical and communcations skills





  • Responsible for project documentation, expenses analysis and progress monitoring
  • Liaise with Engineering project managers on timesheet matters, project status, project budgeting matters and project accruals
  • Liaise with Procurement and Logistics Department to monitor the delivery status of spares arriving at project site
  • Liaise with customers on project billing matters, customer feedbacks on project quality etc
  • Liaise with Finance Department on project invoicing matters


  • Diploma/Degree in Business Administration/Engineering/Finance/Accounting
  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management
  • Proficient in MS office particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
