PT Portek Indonesia Semarang Maintenance Team Awarded Best Implementation Of Safety

Semarang, Indonesia – PT Portek Indonesia (“PTPI”) Semarang Maintenance Team was awarded by Terminal Petikemas Semarang (“TPKS”) for the Best Implementation of Safety for the year 2015. This award was given at the National Annual Assembly for K3 Month on 12th February 2016. K3 stands for Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja which means occupational health and safety.

Out of approximately 20 entities which were nominated, PTPI was selected and awarded for their safety practices which met with the port authority’s guidelines and regulations. At TPKS, regular routine checks and audits of the safety practices by all contractors and suppliers are conducted. PTPI Semarang Maintenance Team has maintained and abided by all the safety rules and regulations such as practising daily safety briefings, checking and ensuring that all Personal Protection Equipment are in good working condition. All tools and equipment are also checked before the work are carried out at the terminal.
