The Portek Group is a turnkey provider of equipment, services and solutions for the global port industry, as well as an operator of container and bulk terminals.


We are currently looking for:





  • Provide guidance to the Company’s management as well as business operations for their decision-making to assist on all legal matters including contract management, litigation and legal compliance management.
  • Draft, review and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements (eg. Operations & maintenance, sales and distribution, NDA, employment, JV agreements etc.).
  • Legal advisory and participation in merger and acquisition, JV and investment related deals.
  • Instruct and coordinate with external counsel where necessary.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining legal/regulatory compliance SOPs.
  • Plan and conduct legal compliance training to management and employees.
  • Any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.



  • At least LLB Honours from reputable university
  • Preferably admitted to the Singapore Bar
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Experience gained in working in Japanese company will be an added advantage
  • Able to work independently





  • Handle day-to-day financial matters covering Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA) and General Ledger (GL).
  • Handle AP vendor invoices/ staff expense claims and payment processing (both manual cheques and electronic).
  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and correct discrepancies.
  • Responsible for daily receipting duties, ensuring all receipts are properly accounted for, reconciled and banked-in on a timely basis.
  • Date entry for accounting records/ journals.
  • Assist in month/ quarter/ year-end closing and per stipulated closing timelines.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and audit schedules, statutory financial statements, liaising with both internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for monthly intercompany confirmations and reconciliations.
  • Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting and Track budget utilization.
  • Fixed asset tagging and physical verification.
  • Maintain strong internal controls for an effective corporate governance and ensure alignment with Groups’ policies and procedures.
  • Maintain files and documentation accurately, in accordance with Company’s policies and generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Liaise with external vendors for Accounting and Finance activities, including tax agents, bankers and other authorities.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor.



  • At least qualified accountant with Degree in Accountancy or ACCA holders
  • Minimum 2 Years’ working experience in similar capacity
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Knowledge in ERP is an added advantage
  • Strong Organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change, including handling administrative and menial tasks
  • The need for overtime during routine month/quarter/year-end accounts closing, new systems implementation and UAT, Audit exercise
